What is RISC OS...

Most visitors to this page would probably know what RISC OS is already, but just on the off-chance...

RISC OS is an operating system originally created by Acorn Computers as the main OS for their range of 32-bit desktop computers based around the ARM chipset. Acorn Computers shut down their workstation department in 1998. RISC OS has passed hands over the intervening years and is now under the ownership of RISC OS Developments and the codebase and ongoing development is being managed and maintained by RISC OS Open Limited.
